I wasn't sure where I should post this, but I am kinda not so fond of the delayed readings of my EGT gauge/kit. I would like to go digital and with something that is known for quick and accurate reading. Max $200 to spend. I found one by PLX.

Oh, and if a Red digital gauge isn't too much to ask for then Red dispaly too.:D

In the market for the same thing except blue gauge.

So a friend bought up something interesting just a few minutes ago.

Does anybody here roll with 3 or 4 digital gauges? How is it? My friend explained it to me as "Having all digital gauges are irritating to follow".

I already have the Wideband, and picked up a digital boost gauge, now I'm wondering if it will be too much to have a digital EGT as well.

I prefer needle gauges. The only digital I have is my wideband. I like to have the ability to orient the gauge so that the needles all sit roughly at the same angle so it's easy at a glance to see if something is not right (same practice that most race cars use). If you need a quick responding EGT look into the Defi of anything with an electronic stepper motor and electronic pickups. They aren't cheap though.

defi it is then. It's just a hair over what I'd anticipated, but better safe.

Thanks

I had a Prosport for a little over two days. The face button rattles ALOT and it failed at the end of day two. Not recommended. Their headers, however, are top notch if you have a Subie but thats another thread.

As far as the Defi goes don't forget you will need the controller as well if you go with the BF series. If you go with the Racers it's not needed but it's a little more involved if you want multiple gauges.

Cool thanks for the input. That was the electric gauges right?

Correct. The ones with the electronic stepper motors and electronic sending units and not the mechanical ones.

I use prosport guages, they have mechanical and electrical gauges in blue, red, and green.

Accord--Which ones do you use? I need EGT and boost gauge, but only the EGT right now. Thanks for input.

Alright, here is where I first expressed my interest in a different EGT instead of the eBay doodoo versions. My first one the probe went I think. Fickle readings. Also was a little slower reacting, although I never knew that until I got the Prosport one.

Here it is. Peak and hold fuction with high temp warning, as well as it being a steppermotor type. It's very nice actually. Responds quick and looks great in day and night time.
