kinda communicating

i'm replacing my blue for this ultimate. so i plug in my B an A connectors. i open the software. a online, import data from e manage window pops up. i click ok it does a update. the next window pops open says. online communication with e manage in real- time? no matter if i click ok or cancel it just flickers a couple times and that window nevers goes away till i turn off the key. i'm at a loss whats wrong with this unit. i've had 2 other units that had problems but this is the first i can't get past this window.

it's xp and the software is 1.09. my stupid old laptop doesn't have usb 2.0 and i was using old software that was serial# to a different unit. so now i'm reloading my ultimate software and starting over. will have to come up with a usb 2.0 cardbus for my old laptop.
didn't work, now in the process of replacing my lappy

wow what a goat rope this has been. the problem was a glich in the software/firmware seem to be in 1.09 an 1.14. i went to greddy tech support downloaded 2.20 and that fixed it. oh well i picked up a nice netbook anyway lol.

ok new problem my ignition timing is reading out of this world. lowest 75.5 highest 195.6 is what i'm seeing. any ideas? not seeing anything on my emb either guess i'll check out the wires in the morning.
