hi guys,

I've recently tuned an automatic Honda civic vtec that came equipped with the Emanage blue.

All AFR have been mapped properly but everytime we do a WOT run up the gears
the car would run extremely lean when cruising. Lean as in 17 to 18:1 afr. As soon as we switch off ignition and restart the car it runs fine.

The car would run fine without any problems until we do another FULL throttle run.

My AFR is tuned to cruise at 14.7 however every time we did a full power run the same load sites would show extremely lean 17 to 18 afr and the car doesnt run right. Nothing was done to the map at all. Restart the car and it runs fine again.

What could be the problem?

Double check the connections, maybe the tps wire came loose going to the emanage, it would run the map in the rpm range since the tach is hooked up but it would only run the top line on the map since it was not getting the tps reference. My wire came loose and I observed that doing the map trace on the support tool.

thanks for your reply.

There is no problem with the TPS connection. Funny thing is after a WOT run, the problem surfaces but after switching off the engine and restarting, the problem goes away and the engine runs as per normal.

Could it be the stock OBD2 ECU is causing the problem? The stock ecu would still be thinking its running close loop right?

Sounds like your MAP or MAF is being overloaded at WOT and then after a quick shut down and restart it goes back to normal. Happened on my car. A missing link adapter or check valve solved the problem.

Huh! That sounds very probable.
