I have a 1997 Mk1 1.8 fitted with a JR M45 Supercharger, JR Air/Water intercooler, 150mm crank overlay, Mk2 injectors, Emanage blue, 3 bar MAP sensor, Turbolite knock sensor and an AEM UEGO Wideband sensor.

I am trying to get my head round tuning and have been trying to tune the Emanage based on MAP as I still cant get the MAF working. I took my car for a quick run and recorded the results using Emanage Tools, with the following results:

I am getting just short of 9 PSI with my current set-up, although I may add a smaller Supercharger pulley at some stage. Do the resulting AFR's look okay for the PSI boost generated?

Is the turbolite knock sensor going off? Those afrs are a little lean imo, but if the car is not knocking then you are ok but if your tune is a little rich you are somewhat safer.

Yep, little lean it would seem.

Also you checked the AFR range with your AEM and made sure that you haad the correct range in the EmanageTools software right?

No. What should the correct range for the AEM?

The AEM software should tell you the range at which the AEM gauge reads at.

My Innovate WB02 tells me when I open up the software. If that's not set right you will get some wacky(inaccurate) datalogs with the EmanageTools. I actually hadn't found that setting for several months, so I never really used it until I got my profec then I wanted to tune to a higher PSI so I went back to playing with the EmanageTools and found that setting, then found what the Innovate reads at, corrected the values in EmanageTools and it was datalogging like a champ.

The AEM does not come with software, but a quick google comes up with a voltage range of 0.0 - 5v and AFR range of 10.0 - 19.98?

Thanks for the replies. :thumb-up: I'm still trying to understand tuning and appreciate the advice.

Here's my fuel and timing map.

I did a couple of runs and noticed the turbolite flicker briefy at about 70% throttle and over 4k, so I seem to be running lean above 4k, so if I add about 30% more fuel in the areas highlighted below, Is that likely to reduce the chance of knock?
