Whats going on fellas?

My name is D2 according to my son (Hes d3) but i go by doug lol or just plain cant get ryte lol. Not new to forums, but this will be my first time working on any kind of piggyback :/

Ive got a 2k3 Nissan maxima with a couple items that are going to kick me in the tail if i dont go about adding some control. Basic list of boltons, but all add just enough headache that i have to do something :)
*UDP, Cattman 3 Inch Catback, Cattman Gen 3 Headers, SSIM **Special Sauce Intake Manifold**, NWP Thermoletic Spacers, Custom Maf/Intake (3 inch). Just enough that it causes havoc with my afr and timing.

Im currently in the market for a UTEC or EMB, if i can find either then the journey will begin.

Currently im deployed to afghanistan, Ive finished a year in a week, and will be returning home to work on the cars and chase the kids...cant wait, but im just trying to have a jump on it so the cars dont overshadow my time. Any tips or anything you can offer to help its appreciated.

V/R,

SFC Douglas Sands.

Welcome to site SFC! We're preparing to head for afghan in april of 2010. Anyhow my reccomendation is that a piggyback is great as starting application however, if you can afford it get a full standalone and have it tuned. It skips alot of the headaches you experience along the way.

BUT if you're like the rest of us here we do it ourselves, so a good place to start is to research the basics of engine operation to help you get started with your tune. How fuels affect detonation, preignition etc...

Look up some wiring diagrams for your car and begin studying those to know where you wires go in the car. This'll help you chase downe elctrical bugs once you actually get started and help u discover some relays you never knew existed :)
