Hello everyone,

Name's Aaron.
I own a Lexus SC300 with the following mods and equipment:

JDM 2JZ-GTE (From a supra, not aristo)
Mine's Tuned ECU (Came with engine)
Auto to manual swap (R154 5-speed)
eBay FMIC supra kit
Supra TRD replica Exhaust
BullseEyePower S366 a/r .91 twin scroll
tial 44mm wastegate
hks ssqv gen II
AEM Dryflow air filter
Flex a Lite Elec. fans 220

Parts awaiting install are:
TRD Supra LSD w/ 3.27 gearing
Supra Big Brakes all around
18" x 9.5" rota p-45 +20 offset all around(I know, I'm cheap)
Blitz i-color spec r boost controller

I just installed a Greddy Emanage blue w/ add. Inj and Timing harness. I have a Greddy Pressure Sensor that I haven't hooked up for whatever reason. I also Have a profec e-01... but no boost solenoid.

All work except things that require special equipment (i.e. welder) are done at home in a garage with hand tools.

Here are some pics. I'll try to go in chronological order.

rps max clutch... I have had problems with disengagement with this clutch. I won't buy it again.

I hope to learn and grow. I've been interested in tuning, but I was scared to ever take a splash into it because of what could happen if you bite off more than you can chew.

Thanks and feel free to critique.

In the past few days, I have been tip toeing around the emanage with the support tool v 1.49

Does anyone recommend how to even initialize the tuning process? I'm not reffering to the physical "what does this button do" mentality. I mean something along the lines of "where on the map should I start" kinda idea.

Should I start with a -value at the top left of the map and have a great + value on the bottom right and interpolate those in between?

What should be my starting values be where my powerband starts to kick in?

Things of that nature.

Thats one unassuming turbo car. When I saw the first pic I thought a 3 liter 4 banger? Then I realized it was 2JZ.

Gonna be a beast!

Yes, I'm slowly building it up. I now have a blitz i-color EBC spec R waiting to be put in, but only after I put the new wheels and twin turbo brakes on.

Thanks for the input. I hope to learn alot about the emanage and tuning in general.

First off welcome to the site and nice car! As you already know 0 is the base value so your running off stock ecu values. My advice to start and get you into the ballpark would be 5 in the top left and 35 in the top right. Then go for a very easy drive and watch your AFR's, Then optimize your power bands for your power gear and work up to WOT.

Once your AFR's are on target, (12:1 is a good starting point). then begin adjusting your igntion timing. You'll know when its time becuase your AFR's will be on point however under boost you will see little or no power gain. That tells you the timing is off and your wasting power.

Man, kinda sleeper right there in that last pic.

Nice car, one of the cars I hope one day to play with. Once you get your wideband you will be able to see what afr the car is at, I personally would have some engine monitoring software to see what the ecu is doing since it is a tuned ecu. You may not have to adjust much at all but you do need to know where your timing is at. Everytime I hear of the company "Mines" it's because they have some killer gtr. It will be interesting to see what that ecu is doing. BTW if you don't need that e-01 I can give it a good home.:D

Thanks for the reply guys! I do have an aem UEGO and am trying to figure out how to integrate it into the blitz boost controller so I have some data logging capabilities.

Accord2NRZ- Alright, I'll start with blanket values with low throttle and high throttle inputs.

Would it be safe to just put +35 after the 70% throttle mark around 3k-redline rpms? I start getting boost at around 2k rpmish but thats like 1-3 psi. It only starts really climbing after around 3krpm and the wastegate opens usually around 4k-4.1k.

Since this a tuned ecu, should I be worried about the timing? If I increase the boost along with the fuel, will the timing take care of itself in the sense that it won't kill my engine?
Power gear is 4th on a 5 spd I would assume?

Maxgtr2000- The tuned ecu just covers the basics. Boost cut/speed cut removed. More aggressive timing. Also I might have bigger injectors and it is tuned for that. I have a wideband like I stated, but no datalogging capabilities with it. I only have the e-01 controller/display screen and computer. Basically missing everything for it to be a boost controller. I was planning to use it as a tuning tool primarily. Let me know if you are interested in it. I'll sell it at a good price.

I'm installing the boost controller right now though and then I'll go for a rough tune.

The E-01 has a harness that you can order so to use the E-01 to datalog AFR. It's really just a playback fuction where you can view it just as if you were driving it. It's not like a graph like datalogging with the laptop using teh Support Tool software.

I tried to make my own harness but could not get it to work.

I really like the Profec e-01. Lots of features and very reliable and tunable boosting with it.
