Hard Problems to install E-manage Blue PLEASE HELP ME

Hi, I' m the owner of a Daihatsu Charade GTti.

When I connect the ECU to my computer I read a message that says "this unit is not compatible with this software, please contact the seller". Data start from the ECU to the computer, and they are ok, but not from the computer to the ECU.. I can't relay data to the ECU. The ECU is for the CB-80 engine. Trimmer are set 1C1. RPM, ignition and airflow are connected. The trottle is not connected. Should I connect it? Where the response was positive, should I connect it to the cable number 4 of my a-menage? The ver is: Support Tool 1.20-1.40. The a-menage's ver. is 1.42 and I upgraded them to the 1.49 ver. Either the ECU or the program.

I can find any solution... Please help me if you can.

Connect the throttle position sensor. Make sure all your connections are good and update both the software and the unit to 1.49 then give it a shot. It should work. I've never heard of someone getting that error message.

what is the thread of wire trottle sensor?

The throttle cable should be grey.

Your TPS will be either 30, 31, or 32. Pin 29 is TPS ground so that shouldn't be it. I'm thinking either 30 or 32 should be the one. You're looking for the wire that will give a a signal of a varying voltage.

pin 30 è corretto, rimane però il problema della incompatibilità della centralina e del programma, la versione 1.49 non và bene.
Il messaggio che appare appena giro la chiave è: "emanage stop" "this emanage unit is not supported for this version. Please contact your authorized dealer."
Se premo "import data" il programma carica le impostazioni dalla centralina, se invece premo "export data" compare la scritta che ho aggiunto due righe sopra.

Pin 30 is correct, however, the problem of incompatibility of the unit and the program continues, the 1:49 version is not good is not the good one.

Scroll down near the bottom of the list. There should be a version that will work for you.

Now try and install the 1.20-1.40 update file and see what that does. Just to be safe, I like to reboot computer after installing most any software.

Even if you're using the original cable you still need a serial to usb converter. You can not just plug the cable into your computer, for some reason information gets lost in transit resulting in your error message.

my main unit is ver 1.49 and my software is 1.49 witch i download at the download section.. using win 7

i cant update the main unit also..

usually what is the prob im having here.?

using EMB + haltech 3 bar map on Mazda BPT engine..

anyone plz can help me.?

Usually the first problem is a bad COM port setting on the unit itself.

If unit was purchased second hand then it could be locked.

Lastly check the type of cable you are using becuase a regular usb cable will not work with the support tool software. You'll need a usb -> serial adapter.

well it was purchased new and haven't locked by the previous tuner coz i can still access the main unit and see all the setting inside but i cant modify them..

im using serial usb converter update with driver...

is it bcoz the os im using win 7 64bit.?

Pretty sure it works onWin7 32bit as I've had a friend test it for me as I was considering Win7.

i am new on this forum and i have the same issue like you. I just installed the EMB in my car and when i turn the ingnition on i get an error messgae say: this unit is not supported for this version.

I tried with the 1.49 version in a laptop with win xp and win vista and was the same error!!

But when i tried with the 1.11 version all works fine! but this version is too old and i only can change some values like inhector size. After this versoopn works, i update to the 1.49 and i get the same message: this unit is not supported for this version.

Could you please let me know what do you do to avoid this problem??

can u connect to the main unit with win XP.? have u select the Com Port.?
