Hey guys,

I really want to set up my ride so that when I get on the gas really hard, a big flame comes out the exhaust. Like, Fast and Furious style! That way, everyone knows that my ride is totally BAD A$$ YO! Ok, I can't say that with a straight face... ;)

Seriously though, I was contemplating placing my battery in the trunk and wanted to know if there were any down-sides to doing such. Just thinking about it, that's a lot of wire routing all the way to the back that could become damaged. Also, with all that wire, does it sap cranking power? As it is now, the battery is rubbing lightly against my steel-braided fuel line. I can move it out of the way, but it ends up touching slightly against the battery after a drive. Any ideas?

I relocated mine with zero gauge wire. I haven't noticed any drop in cold cranking power and my car draws alot to be honest. With your car being all wheel drive it would help having a bit of weight distributed.

What I would do in your case is this. Relocate the battery to the trunk and run one zero gauge wire to the engine bay. Buy yourself a power distribution block (shielded) and bolt that into the engine bay. That way all your engine bay wiring will go to the distribution block and you only have one wire going to the trunk. :)

lots of vehicles (BMWs especially) have the battery in the trunk OEM.
