I have been speaking to a tuner for my build and I mentioned what my goals are and what I have. Basically I am looking to knock down about 12-14psi on an 86 MR2 with a T25 and EMB.

The tuner told me that for me to run anything past 6psi I should consider the AEM FIC (which I have) so that he could retard timing. I have the Ignition harness so I do not see why this should be an issue.

Also does anyone else see a reason why the EMB will not do the 12psi I am looking for?

There's no reason. The tuner you spoke with is most likely either not all that comfortable with the emanage program or he just doesn't like it. I'm running between 8 and 10 psi and mine works fine.

He seems to prefer the AEM FIC. I would ask a different tuners opinion if possible.

yeah, ask at least one more different tunner, im running 10lbs fine with my emb, so i dont see any problem.
