Does anyone have any projects going on? How are they coming? Personally I finally got my new downpipe mocked up, taped, and then took to a shop to have welded. Looks ok and don't worry I've taken plenty of pics during those whole process of me cleaning up my engine and re-wiring the whole shebang.

Hopefully today or tomorrow I'll get some time to put some more work into it. I'm ready to start driving and retuning my ride. I'm hoping to get just under 300 with it, but for a DD 250 reliably will satisfy me. :)

My internal gate is set for 8psi but I may take it up to 10 and put 2 tunes on my laptop. One for the dd and the other for the track.

Just installed a new air/oil seperator and new suspension is going in probably this weekend if I get the time. I have officially maxed out my setup powerwise due to maxed MAF, maxed MAP, file size limits on my tuning software and stock pistons. On to some other things for a while.

Nice. Fixing to head to church but I got my new downpipe installed and then cut the old egt bung off the last pipe and put it in the new one. Now I have egt and narrowband o2 monitoring before the turbo. the wideband o2 will go in within 12in of the hot side. Fun stuff.

very interesting swap. I went to put my oil return line on and the damn thing is too long. I really dont feel like taking the stainless assembly apart and then cutting the hose and putting it all together again. Suggestions? I've noticed I can cut some away from the front motor mount but it almost seems like taking the hard way instead of just making a new return line.

Had to figure out why I was losing coolant. couldn't find any visible leaks. Compression checked out fine so I changed the water pump, level seems to stay the same now. Waiting to pull the trigger on a meth injection kit. There was some info on a forum on where to get a boost solenoid for a decent price of $36 shipped so I jumped on that and am going to let the emanage control the boost.

I'd would just bite the bullet and remake the line.

did that. Just got my car back from the shop and tried going into boost, and nothing now I can see it trying to hit 1lb and I can definitely hear the thing spinning but not power. Suggestions? I am thinking it's either a boost leak or perhaps a problem with my wastegate?

Yea I'm pretty much ready to take a break from "projects" myself and just relax. We have a 97 contour that im considering a twin turbo project on.

Probably boost leak, you'd be amazed. I know I've been running for quite some time now and just found a boost leak the other day, it's like I'm driving a different car the way it responds now..lol.did that. Just ordered the core for my air to water intercooler project. The rest will be ordered piece by piece and I'll be doing more fitment and routing for all the lines and the charge pipe.

Dang..... Turbineguy that thing looks spiffy:D

What do you use for the water part? just plain water or antifreeze?
Does it have to have it's own reservoir
and pump?

Uses plain water or water with water wetter added to it for better heat transfer. It'll have a seperate reservoir in the trunk. Water flows from the reservoir to the core, from the core to the heat exchanger which is mounted where a front mount would be, through the pump, and finally back to the reservoir. The heat exchanger will have dual 7" fans which will be thermostatically controlled and all lines will be -12 braided stainless with AN fittings. The reservoir is around 5 gallons and has a removable cover to add ice to the water and make filling easy.

Thanks. I'll have more pics sometime soon. I'm talking with a few big name shops to have a custom charge pipe fabbed up to go from the turbo outlet to the core inlet with the flange welded on for the BPV. That'll be the only sticky part about the whole project that I can see at this point.
