This sunday I'm getting to choose between a new reciprocating saw or a gasless welder. W00T! Just having trouble which one to get. I'll probably use the saw more than the welder.

What would you all get?

ha! tired of that damn walmart stick welder huh? lol get the welder...preferrably one that uses gas cause it makes the welds look and hold SOOO much better.

WELDER. You have a hack saw. :)
yeah gas is alot better, you just have to make sure the tank is empty and valve removed from it when you move. The gas one is so worth it

Huh?!!! Isn't there a decent price difference between the two? For me here it is. A good welder would be around 5-6 hunny. A good reciprocating saw no more than 2 hunny.

I bought the saw, the welder I wanted was gone and I still have a stick welder on hand. I know it's like bottom of the quality totem but I'll spend more time practicing with it. The saw on the other hand I've already used and need to use again so it worked out. And yea that was a price difference so I decided to save some money and take the fam out for a nice night with what i saved lol.

EDIT: ** Plus I found out our craft center on post has some nice welding stuff we're allowed to use so I'm straight on that avenue.
