Hey everyone, Ive asked this question on another forum, but havent gotten a response yet. Maybe you guys could figure it out.
I am going to boost a 01 civic lx(non-vtec) @ 7psi, with EMB and was wondering if I should use a missing link for the boost compensation or buy the cheap ebay pressure sensor for Emanage. Will the pressure sensor fool the ecu like the missing link does in thinking its not under boost? Also, if I get the pressure sensor do I need to run any of the extra harnesses? Thanks in advance.

You need both. the missing link adapter is to prevent your factory map sensor from taking damage from all that extra boost. Once it maxes out at 5v on the OEM system the whole car will act funny and the diaphram inside the map sensor will be stuck and return a bad reading until the car is turned off and then on again.

the pressure sensor is what your emanage will read boost from after the voltage is maxed out or clamped on the oem map sensor. The alternative to buying the pressure sensor is going to the salvage yard and snatching a GM 2 or 3 BAR Map senor of an old grand national and then using a 3 wire CDMA connector from a desktop computer to create your own harness.

Ok. Are there any other gm cars that have that sensor? Or just the grand national? Thank you for the info.

Yea the pontiac sunbird had it. Actually there's good number of cars that had them. You just have to google for "cars with GM 3 bar map sensor" and something like that should come up. then cross check with your local salvage yards.
