Are any of you guys out there using these turbos ? I'am to looking to upgrade my small Saab Garrett T25 turbo and Iam shooting for 250whp.
(I'am @219whp now) Both turbos fall in this range, although the 2554 spoils faster than the 2560 but how much faster . Is it worth the trade off for a later on set of boost vs. top end ? I know this is a matter of personal taste but I hate to give up my 0-60 which is now < 5sec. but as of now my turbo runs out of power @ 6,500 rpm's.

The difference between a 54 and 60 isn't much but based on what you want from it I would go with the smaller A/R.

Definitely the quicker spooling of the two is the way to go. Unless you are pushing the limits of the turbos CFM top end power is negligible.(spelling?)

Quick spooling is nice just sucks on the top end......
Just like my tiny CT-9 turbo.:(

I would go for the bigger of the two turbo's. If and when I ever upgrade my setup I will be happy with a some lag.

Thanks for the input, 250whp is pushing the limits of the smaller GT2554 (but still on the compressor map) The GT2560 will support 300whp but my stock drivetrain won't hold up. (at least from what I've read ) I'am posting the compressor maps if anyone could tell me what the difference would be (RPM wise) between the two for the onset (lag) of boost that would be helpful.

Thanks

We need to figure your VE. What is the displacement of your engine?

Actually nevermind. Which RPM range is most of your driving done? You want to pick the turbo which functions at better effeciency where you're doing most of your driving.

Its a 1.8 most driving rpm range 2,000-3,500 this covers 30-65 mph. Accord2nrz I think by you asking that question (rpm range) its going to be the smaller 2554 ?

Yes im thinking so the smaller of the two would be best in my opinion, but check out the article I posted entitled How to read compressor maps. It should help you out a bunch.
