Hey all I'm needing some help finding a tubular manifold for my car. 97 Honda Accord, Engine Model F22B2.
I've been scouring the net for several days now with no luck. They're just not manufactured for my car. And I can't find a small t2 turbo that's internally gated for reasonable so if ANYONE can find either of these items please let me know.
Thanks everyone

If they don't make them for your car that would be rare, but for the price these things go for sometimes I can see why. They can be pricey. For example, SFR makes one for the 3.5 vq engine and it is priced around $1800 and it is stainless steel.

i think that the best way it will be with a custom made manifold, just go with a very good muffler shop and im pretty sure that they can make u one that it will not dissapoint you. and about the turbo i have a garret t25 at my garage you will have to rebuilt it but i mean its a garret. i can give to you just pay the shipping and its all yurs, and it has the internal wg. just let me know

Dang Lin you cant beat that deal:eek:
Im pretty sure Dzaster rebuilt his T25 on the cheap.
I also have a link on how to rebuild them yourself.

My 2 cents, I went from a tubular exhaust manifold to a log manifold. The Forced Performance DSM racing manifold is essentially a stock log manifold but is ported like crazy. It flows better than some tubulars and doesn't have any exhaust leak problems or welds to worry about. I'm four beers into the night, I hope I'm making sense. Doesn't DC make tubular exhaust manifolds for the f22? Oh, just found this website:

marco-ir, if Accord does not hop on that failing T25 you got there would you be ok offering that to me for the same deal? I would love to have a spare T25 that I can rebuild.
Lin you gonna take up marco on that?:p
And yeah I did rebuild it using that. H

accord you could always try a 14b turbo its internal wg its from gsx eclipse and tsi talon

I concur. The 14b turbo out of the first gen DSM's provide great low to mid range power and are internally gated as stated above. Just be mindful if you run a turboback greater than 3 inches in diameter. You might run into boost creep issues if you don't do some porting and install a bigger flapper.

the turbo isn't the problem, well it is, but the manifold is the biggest problem right now. a 14b /g won't mate up with my cylinder head. the uneven ports poses a problem. It would work on an F22Ax but not Bx

Thanks for offer marco but my second manifold that im going to use is a t3 flange housing so I decided to just buy a .48 AR t3 turbo instead of a .64 T3/T4 hybrid. Should give me quick spool I need and be small enough to not burn everything in the engine bay up :)
EDIT *** it's internally gated so that should solve the issue of the uneven pressure on the last runner right Tguy? It's got a vband exhaust housing on it so I dunno exactly how that's going to work given how much room I have.

Hey turbineguy, or anyone else who can chime in with this one. I am not smoking during acceleration or into boost. However, as soon as I let off the gas I get a big smoke screen (blue) and yea its burning oil which goes away after about 20 seconds.
I glanced into the compressor side and notice some very faint traces of oilish greaselike substance lining the inside of the inlet. This is a new turbo mind you so I dont believe the seals would be bad.
I've had it compression tested and leak down tested and all appear to be checking out.
I thought to run my catch can from the pcv valve to the intake manifold and when I did that my idle surged really bad. Now its running to the intake runner just before the throttle body.
My question is what would be causing the smoking. since the leakdown and compression check out we've ruled out bad piston rings. There was alot of oil in my intercooler lines but I imagine that it would have blown all that stuff through by now. next question is if it was blowing oil into the firing chamber then why am I not smoking during boost? Wouldn't bad turbo seals force oil into the compressor during boost? Or even during normal driving conditions?
EDIT: I checked the turbo for shaft play just in case i had a defective snail and there is zero shaft play in every direction so the mystery continues. This weekend tim I'll up end that intercooler and see how much oil comes out of it but any other thoughts you have?

When ever I had smoke issues it was always the oil drain. First the line was too long and didn't allow drain back fast enough, the second time was the hose was more horizontal than vertical.

What size are your catch can lines?

size 10 A/N, same as the drain line.

Is it possible on your car to install the PCV valve backwards?

Thanks to everyone for chiming in. Turbineguy and RedDragon and I think we nailed it down to the oil catch can sucking. PCV is venting to atmosphere right now and 90% of the smoking is gone. I will be posting some video clips soon, just got to copy them from my camcorder. Boosting to 8 lbs now and holding around 13:1 through the RPM band.

Isn't that a little bit lean unless you have water injection I would guess you want to be more towards 12.5?

it is a tad lean for me but i'll be putting it to a dyno to fine tune it.
