What is meant by the phrase "Brake Specific Force Consumption"

How will knowledge help you as you develop your tune.

Not sure what is meant by this thread but I only found this on the internets gospel--Wikipedia.

Brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) is a measure of fuel efficiency within a shaft reciprocating engine. It is the rate of fuel consumption divided by the power produced. BSFC allows the fuel efficiency of different reciprocating engines to be directly compared.

But you have force in there. Perhaps I missed it.

Hahaha! Now then you turned this piece into a real Trivia one.

BSFC will vary depending on engine speed and engine load, aswell as the fuel mixture and the ignition timing also.

Often between 0.5 and 0.6 for most turbo cars, getting low numbers requires a fairly aggressive tune.

This number is important for calculating figures for plotting on a turbo compressor map.
