I thought I would spread this Good fortune. Its a really good deal especially when converting from NA to turbo.

That is a really good deal, I think Dzaster and Airswoosh1 recently spoke of this
same sensor in another thread:confused:

Different auction, but it looks to be the same item, and at an even lower price.

I am hoping that I can remove the AFM all together while I use this. I doubt that I can but still its OK to dream. I do know that I can convert the AFM to MAP if I use the JDM map sensor that they used for the ECU.
I will definitely let you guys know how it works for me. I have to buy the tuning cable since the guy that sold me the Emanage sent me a Printer USB cable.

Will I need one of these for my Blue running a Twin Turbo 1JZ?
What do they do?

You can run one, that way you can do your timing retard off boost or additional injection (with the injector harness) if you need to. If your factory maf/map maxes out at a certain psi you can compensate with this sensor.

Yeah I've been told the Greddy sensor is a bit more accurate, but it may just be more accurate than my cars stock MAP.
And that is the official one.
mhamrick you sent me a PM about this, but there was no link so I assumed it was the one-off ones that recently popped up on eBay. This one is the best deal I have seen on a new one for sure.
And I know you guys could prolly find it again on your own, but while its listed, here is another one by the same seller same friggin' awesome price.

Yeah sorry bout that man. I was definitely wanting to spread the good fortune. That setup is over $100 from Greddy which is a little ridiculous. I was going to buy just the sensor from a guy and he wanted $60 for it unused. This is the complete setup for $33.

I got mine for $45 shipped back in 09. Works fine no problems.

Excellent. Also I would prefer it to be the cheaper yet still equally as effective. The reason is this is a typical sensor and not a $80 piece that is rather hard to find used or at bargain prices. Seriously the problem with the Emanage is that you buy say a MS 2 for less then what you can get from a EMB. All the add ons like tuning software, harnesses, sensors, and adapters is ridiculous!!!

That's true if you don't get a deal, but I have seen EMB units fully loaded for 1-2 hundred. Kennymp3 got his fully loaded with Profec E-01 for $300 I believe.

I've read it somewhere, but is the pressure sensor used when you feel your maxxing out eg. AFM. And is it only for turbo engines.
I have an AFM which has been adjusted for quicker response by 2 or 3 teeth.
Since i've upped the injectors from 210 - 360cc then maybe to 440cc, also high commp pistons from 8.2 to 9.7, should i concider the pressure sensor or just go for a bigger AFM. I doubt i would need a bigger AFM, so if that the case would tuning be better with pressure sensor. it's NA engine.plus balanced bluh bluh:rolleyes:

Does your car use a MAP or MAF? If it's a MAF then I would say all you need is a bigger maf sensor but if you're using a MAP sensor then yes the pressure sensor would be a must.

Hate to say it, but it's a flap AFM, your remember the ancient one's ;)
i bought a pressure senson anyway, just in case i need it this weekend, as i'm hoping to get my car on the road. i have the lc1 o2 sensor so hopefully something will work.

Get a hot wire AFM. I thought with the EMB you could swap in other manufacturers AFM's and it would trim the numbers accordingly?

Where is the pressure sensor connected exactly.
i know the wire to the EM, but where is the best place to place the actual unit?

GM pressure sensors can handle some weathering so it can be placed under the hood, however the Greddy Pressure sensor does NOT like water so it's best to mount it in the cabin of the vehicle and run your vacuum line to the engine bay OR T off the boost gauge line you've already run into your cabin.

Done,fitted.
Bought the cheepy of ebay(pressure sensor) it's a small plastic one. Hope it last. Connected and seems to work fine.
bought the profect e-01 afterwards, guy said it had a pressure sensor also in the package. Of course it didn't, so he bought me a new one, seen above.:D
Happy with that, i had 2 now.
