Cable issue? Is this the proper cable?

I got the Emanage sometime back and it came with the tuning cable. The cable is somewhat weird though. It does not have any Greddy insignia at all. What it does have is CBL on both ends of the cable. It is not DB9, it is regular USB on one end and one of the old USB Square type on the other end. The cable is clear on the wire wrap.

I am wondering if I got the right cable or if it is BS.

If it is BS, I thought there was a thread on online on how to make one from a regular USB cable. If there is can someone link me to it?

Im not sure I have ever seen a DIY about making a support tool cable.
Most folks get one at a discount from giff or from ebay.

To be honest it looks alot like this cable so I am thinking I got taken on it. It has a round thing inside the cable about the size of a C battery.

Here's what the official GReddy Support Tool cable looks like. Note, it does not have GReddy insignia on it. The large metal box is badged with AMP.

I guess I am going to have buy one from Giff Tech. I should have known that it was to good to be true. I was supposed to get the Blue and cable for $100 but I guess its still a decent deal. I have both Injector and Ignition harness and I got them together for $50.

Have you tried connecting it yet?

There is another hack that folks do, and I've tried but was unsuccessful in getting it to work. Maybe the guy did that hack?:confused:
