First time with EMB - red flashes

Hi

I bought a EMB for my 1JZ - it came with a plugin loom complete with the injector and fuel loom - from another 1JZ - plug and play into the existing ECU.

When turning the ignition on - the active light flashes green, and the interaction light turns orange - all good so far.

The engine starts and idles - the interaction light blinks orange, but the active light turns red - which from reading the manual means turn the engine off right away.

It flashes one slow then one fast - then repeats about every 4 seconds. I gave up counting after 30 flashes. Should it tell me the error code at some stage?

I don't (yet) have a usb cable. Also this is connected to a OEM ECU with a Blitz chip in it.

According to pg 25 of the manual it seems like you have an airflow input 1 error. Check your connections and make sure the first 3 dials are set right.

Ok - changed it to 7,4,0 - which is the same as a 2JZ-GTE - ( It was set to 7,0,4 :confused: ) - I looked everywhere ( I think ) and this seemed to be the closest match to a 1JZ-GTE.

Now it starts and runs with no error codes. It also stalls with no accelerator - but that's ok - my Griff cable is on the way.

Does anyone know if the setting 7,4,0 is correct for a 1JZ-GTE?

I'd think it is. That's at least the rotary setting for the 2JZ.
