Ok #1 son was playing around with the profec e-01 and somehow managed to reset the EMB thus loosing the very expensive map i had. Luckily i have a copy saved on my laptop. Now heres the problem. I dont have a cable to connect my ancient toughbook to the emanage. I do have a copy of the support tool though and can access the map data. I started manually inputting all the numbers but after 2hrs gave it up as a bad job. I was looking at the profec and it has an SD card. Hey ho i thought plug it into a card reader and copy the map to it then download it via the profec. Not a hope ..! The card reader keeps asking to format the card. Now even i with my limited knowledge of all things electronic guessed that that would render the thing useless. So short of getting a kosha cable is there a way of easily copying the data to the EMB via the SD card in the profec?

Oh wow! Sorry to hear. Man, I don't think there is a way without the Support tool cable.

There's no way to do it as far as I know without purchasing the cable. Allowing the computer to format your SD card will render it completly useless. However as a trial you can go purchase another SD card and try put the info on it and put that in your profec.

Hmm tried that one already....The profec wouldnt even recognise the card. So i guess i need to purchase a cable from gifftech...sigh. This speed thing is getting expensive.

Dont use your greedy card, try it on the new SD card you have.
I have not tried it myself but I just thought maybe you might want to have a crack at it......
Im still thinking you need that support tool cable like Accord2nrz is saying.
Good luck man,
Kenny
