Im trying to figure out what will work best as far as using the EMU's autotune. If i am in the parameter settings under the A/F target tab should I have it set INJ map 1? How exactly does the autotune work. does it constantly change the correction values in the INJ map? Really I want to find a way to use this feature to get a base tune. I can fine tune myself based on fuel trims and what not but I would like the EMU to get it close for me. Can I set the TP% at 1% and water temp at 30-110, and then in the target map set all non boost at at 14.5 and boost at 11.0?

I've tell you off the bat I've not personally used it, but I was helping a friend do some tuning over the phone and he mentioned he was getting some red highlights in coordinates of 4 frames at a time and it seemed like it was the autotune feature. So basically, it seemed to highlight the areas of the map that was lean. At least this is what we thought as the map trace feature highlights yellow and does so in a different manner.

I don't know how it was setup so.............sorry.

on mine, I just input the desired A/F ratio in the Target A/F map and it worked. It was slow to respond though and was not very accurate. Not that I have a proper tune on it, the A/F's respond instantaneously. I would say if you need to use the Autotune just to drive the car around then it's ok, but for trying to tune from, I don't know. I guess you could do it, but I didnt try.
