Just wanted to share with you guys that I converted my NA computer and electronics to that of a boosted setup(GT Starlet/EP82/4efte)--ECU, harness, coil, distributor, ignitor, MAP sensor, and knock sensor. The reason for doing so was to eliminate some of the components that I had to use--O2 clamp and autotune--as well as add some new features.
I now have a boost worthy MAP sensor(2bar), so no more check valve. Integration of an ECU monitored knock sensor. Larger stock injectors(295cc) so more window for trimming larger injectors. I have 330cc injectors in now and the difference in displacement allows me to not have to trim the 330's or use the Auto Injector Correct feature. I trim only at idle -5%. Why is this important? Well, this way the airflow signal is not altered in any way. So there is no funky going on with timing like that which occures when the ECU doesn't see true MAP airflow/MAP signal. Also, this ECU, being boost ready, is pre-mapped from Toyota accordingly--no aggressive ignition timing advance. I also bumped my base timing back up from 6*BTDC to 10*BTDC.
So how does it fair? It's awesome! It was a snap to tune. I am only tuning the alky/water injection engagement AFR now. This setup has really unleashed the engine as I no longer have to run such a conservative timing map.
Of course I like the visuals so.................
The work station for nearly a month. Had to make up a hybrid harness to run with my car.

And the finish product.

Everything worked first crack. I was/am really stoked about that.
