View Full Version : EMB Popping Ignition Fuse

I have an 02 S2000 and I'm connecting the EMB via the Boomslang Harness. Every time I turn the key to ON it pops the 15 amp fuse for the ignition. I put in a 25 amp fuse and the car barely runs then stalls.
I then have to remove the Boomslang Harness to get the car to start because it has flooded the engine with gas.
I am running a blank map and the previous owner had a S2000 that was N/A also and he said he didnt have any issues.
Any comment are greatly appreciated.

Double check your jumpers and rotary switches.

Double check your jumpers and rotary switches.
Thanks for the quick reply Dzaster.
I took the unit apart and this is what I have found.
The jumper settings for VTEC page 15 of the manual are set properly.
The rotary switches are 2 - 8 - A
The S2000 uses a Coil on Plug so it should be 4 not 2.
After posting the info here http://www.diytuning.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2231#post2231
I changed it to 4-8-C
I will hook it up tomorrow and see if it pops the fuse still.
The CPU is set to H1 but I'm not sure if that is correct either.

Well I got it running.
The info I posted in the other thread helped out.
Now I just need to get some AFR readings and start tuning.

That's good news. That info you posted was beefy and I'd think its something we'll wanna eventually make more accessible/visible.
