heres my problem i installed the emanage a while ago and all was running fine, but suddenly i have a bad stutter ( im sure its overfuel ). I have checked all wiring, even installed new harness and tried another emanage and its the same. I have zeroed all maps so should run as OEM...

If i disconnect the AFM intercept all is fine. Data logging of in/out voltage is equal.

I had the same sort of problem when i first installed and it was due to earthing issues, i ran a big earth direct to battery and it ran fine but its is happening again. It happens at about 2500rpm then cleare then back again every 1000rpm..

All dials on front of emanage are set to zero confimed with software also..

I reflashed emanage / re uploaded maps cant think of anything more..

Wiring is also checked against another GT4 gen2 3sgte??

Ive run out of ideas anyone had something similar??

What is your afm reading when it studders? are you flooding rich? and how much boost are you producing at 2500 if any?

Something is triggering your OEM ecu to flood the engine with fuel.

i will upload the logfile once i have plugged it back in again and tested again,

I can run emanage with everything plugged in but AFM wire and all is fine. Whats strange is when afm is plugged in the in/out voltage is the same so shouldnt make a difference. prob get logfile uploaded / screen cap also tommorow. cheers

Been a while since update.

For a while i gave up on fixing the issue with the emanage and removed it and transfered to draw.

I have recently come back to it.

I have bench tested the emanage pluged + and - into it re updated from 1.1 firmware back through to 1.49

I tested a voltage input into AFM in and it reads correct on emanage.

However with no voltage in it reads 0.01v input aon AFm and 0.11v output?

Anything above 0.11v input and it reads in and out equal so dont think that should matter as on car v never drops bellow 0.5v

So emanage seems to all check out. I even resorted to soldering connectors direct to pins incase of bad connection to an input.

Back to car.

I fit emanage and car splutters and dies, disconnect afm input and put just that back to norm and car starts.

RPM / Throttle pos in support tool register ok.

I wire in a Y piece into AFM wire so i can read output but not effect it.

In support tool AFM in reads random spikes from what voltage should be 0.748v to nearly 5v I used multimeter while this happens and AFM is reading 0.748v no idea why emanage is reading spikes....

I have tried different earth points. including original which used to work...

Car also splutters if i wire in just IGN harness....

So now im stuck. On bench it reads fine in car it goes mad????

Anyone any ideas before i send to bin.....:(

I know you probably binned it by now. But could it be a dirty contact point inside the AFM. it's just a thought..

Well another update..

Managed to get an emanage boomslang harnes H-3 (civic type) for £10 :) rewired emanage to correct pins and installed emanage back in car (IGN & FUEL). On initial test all was fine ( hot car to start with ) so i thought EUREKA :).

Came to it the following day ( Cold start ) and it idles fine but reving and im back to a splutter at about 2500rpm which clears at 3000rpm ish.... As soon as car is upto temp all is fine again??

Any ideas.

I will post up some logs from a cold start so i / you can see what the signals are doing when it misfires...

Do you have anything close to a thermo valve? Mine's been acting up and i've been having the exact same problem your having.

if i disconnect emanage all is 100% ok... just when emanage is connected it misfires like mad until temp is upto normal then emanage seems to work just fine?? emanage is zeroed in all maps also..
