Hey guys my name is Johan, from orlando, fl.
I drive a 89 240sx coupe
Setup as of now, stock long block(ka24de) with a felpro HG, ARP head studs tq down to 90lbs, all emissions remove.
Turbo setup isis bottom mount manifold, isis t28(soon to upgrade to GT30), Greddy EMB with igniton/injector harness and pressure map, 550cc stock moded injectos, Stock maf, FMIC, ARC bov, walbro 255, AEM Uego WB, mishimoto radiator, JGS oil feed/return kit.

That's bout it for the setup, plans are for next year to go top mount and E85 if not sooner.

Im into drifting and that's all I do, I would love to see how ill do on the straight line but really don't care bout the number as long I can slide 3rd gear on the bank once I go back to the track with the setup lol its all about having fun thought.

This is my first real time tuning anything other than when I had a SAFC with my current setup, I've seen a lot of usefull information in this site so I dicided to join.

I have pics of everything, even at the track sliding with the single cam ka24e(not tha much power but enough to learn and have fun) and some pics of the swap and turbo stuff. I will upload them as soon I get to a comp, Im on my sidekick lol.

Good deal man, Pics are golden. Good luck with the E85 I still need to read up on that whole process. I see a few people switching over to it.

Welcome to the site! If you know of others who are hardcore drifters I think it'd be a great section addition to the site. Ya know mechanics of drifiting, suspension setups. Info for those of us who would like to start but dont know where to begin. Obviously vehicle selection is key yes?

We're glad to have you here!

Thanks guys. I do try keep it clean, but now that i have been drifting for a year it harder.
The wheels rub bad when i first put them on, i had to raise the end like an inch, but they still rub so i had my friend roll the fenders for me. after that i lower it back like 1/2 an inch and no more rubbing.
i now dont have the meshies no more:( i sold then to start my KAT, but im now on the progress of a 5lug convertion that i found and traded for my old SAFC-2 so once i find the rims i want ill do the convertion.
ill keep you guys posted.

im gonna look for a video of me last year it was my 2nd event. thats the only one i got for now, i havent even hit the track with the new set up, hopefully i will soon.

are trunk style 240s lighter than hatch 240s? ive always wondered which are better for drifting... i used to own a 94 trunk style for like 4 days....then got my money back cause of the salvage title.....

i have to said that it feels better in the drift than my hatch did, the trunk style weights about 50lbs less IIRC.

i just got my car to idle good, i had a lil problem when i turn on my car it will idle perfect for like 5secs then lean out complete on the wideband and die, i double checked the Mar HW setting and it wass set wrong. hope fully i could get it running decent today:rolleyes:

Thanks for the info on the trunk model, I was always partial to the hatch style but now I know either style would be good, I used to hate the trunk style 240s here in the U.S since the silvia has that trunk. I always saw 180sx/240sx in hatch style in Okinawa and s14 silvias when I started getting interested in cars.

I my first car was a hatch my 2nd one too, i did not really like the coupe that much till i saw a pic of one online and started liking them, then i crash my 2nd hatch, ihad about $3,500 to fix it and swap an SR20 in it, but i said F#$% it im buying a clean coupe. it took me about 2 months to find it but it was wort it. and only pay 1700
