I'm going to tune my EMB but I'm new. Pls help!
My car is 99 Honda CF4 (Manual)
(a) Does F20B need to use BC?
(b) Does F20B need to use ES?
If yes, pls kindly mention how to adjust.
(c) How to set up the new function of AC and it's for what purpose?
(d) Someone said I should tune IG then AR then INJ but someone doesn't agree. Do you know which one is first?
(e) In which situation, I should apply for SUB-INJ?
I've borrowed an Innovate Sensor from my friend. I find that my A/I is around 12.5:1.
Thanks for your assistance. :)

First of all welcome to the site. I'm not sure if you have posted an intro yet. It took me awhile of pondering the acronyms before I could determine what you’re looking for.

How much boost are you running and is this 12.5:1 steady throughout the entire band? If so then I don't see much need for any further fine tuning because you're in the sweet spot already. Need more info on what it’s doing and when such things happen before I can give you any sort of intelligent advice.

Sorry, I've added my brief introduction.
Though my EMB is connected but all data is zero. 12.5:1 is the rough figure measured by Innvoate Sensor. However, I heard the ideal ratio is 14.7:1 for NA car. Could you help?

Ok Now i understand, Your car is NA and you're trying to hit 14.7. Makes a bit more sense to me now.

Tell me a bit about your ignition system. Have you modified any portion of it it or your fuel system. (Fuel Pump, injectors, etc...) anything that would cause it to flow rich on a tune.

Next question is, hook up the innovate and disconnect the EMB and run off the OEM Ecu alone, is your AFR stil 12:1 ish? if so then we can rule out an emanage malfunction.

Also, be sure you free-air calibrated the Innovate WB02.

I too was and am a little lost still on some of those abbreviations.

My engine model is Honda F20B & it's 2,000cc, 4 cylinder distributor. I just replace the ignition wire & Mugen exhaust. No more modification for engine. Will run without EMB to get the figures. Thanks Both.

For any other community members that wish to help on this one but are a tad lost on the abbreviations. BC = Boost Cut, ES = Anti-Engine Stall, AC = Airflow Correction, IG = Ignition map, AR is airflow also, and INJ = injection map, SUB-INJ = is additional injector map(not needed here).

Hope this alleviates some confusion :)

Hi Buddies, when I run with the ECU only, I find that the AR ratio is still around 12:1. Thanks!

Hi Accord2nrz, do you have any idea?

Sounds to me like the car is programmed for the factory to run slightly rich. It's no a problem. Go ahead and plug in your e-manage and begin tuning from there. I would aim at retaining the 12:1 AFR since your car is expecting that from the factory. If you're looking to gain some HP on the factory setup I would leave the AFR, BC, ES, and INJ maps alone. keep them zeroed. IGN is where you would pick up anything at this point.

Do you have any check engine codes? Are your o2 sensors hooked up? Sounds like it is in open loop.
