just got done installing

so my friend with a 95 gsx just bought an emb last week. yesterday, we went ahead and installed it. since it was our first time installing a emb, we were nervous but excited. my friend had done alot of research on his ecu connectors and wires and made dam sure he knew which ones went to which. he even drew up his own diagram of wire color, connector number, and which wires were being spliced together.

he was nervous about wiring into the ecu, and since i have an ASE in electrical, i had to go over there and give him tips on doing it the right way.

so after the install we fired the car right up. but we got an error code 13 which is for the air flow. we dont know wat the problem is. we checked all the wires to make sure all the solder joints were correct and all the wires matched up also. all we can read is throttle position and engine rpm.we havnt run the injector harness yet. the car runs fine, but i can smell it burning rich as hell.

any suggestions?

Can you check the airflow input and output voltages on the E-Manage support tool?

nope, all we can see is rpm and throttle pos. we even tried putting injectors at 40% to see if the emanage worked and the car ran exactly the same...

Have you checked the box for the real time data logging to display the air flow input and output voltage?

ima see if he did. i wasnt in the car when he was looking at it, this is what he was telling me. since this was our first time ever messing with the emb and support tool ,we may have overlooked some things. i will update u as soon as we get back to working on the car.
