bought an e manage support cable off ebay

well i made the mistake of buying a support cable off ebay and i can't even plug it in to my computer. my printer port needs a 15 pin plug and this guy only used a 7 pin plug. i actually have 3 laptops and i can't use it on any of them. has anyone else had this problem?

You need a serial->usb adapter. Google for a prolific serial to usb adapter. That's what I use.

that will actually work. i was wondering about that so i was actually looking for a 9 pin to 15 pin adapter but if a 9 pin to usb will work i'll just grab that. thanks

The serial to USB's are on eBay as well. Like $5 max shipped US.

I bought like 3 already. They come with a driver and work champs.

should have purchased Giff's usb cable and not have to worry about a conversion of any sort ;)
