is it possible for the emanage to have an old program from another car still in it? i know its hooked up right i got the plug and play harness from boomslang and i checked all my jumpers and there in the right spots. it's set at 3 A 0 and this is correct for the 94-95 miata. i adjusted the five settings to zero and the car still ran like crap and i even got a check engine light. any suggestions would be great. and i'm still on my stock injectors and my car isn't modded yet

sure it can and leave those yellow rotary dials on 0. never touch them
you need to be online with the unit with a laptop and cable. so you can setup the car parameters and main unit settings.

What all do you have hooked up to it? Injector and ignition harnesses or just the maf intercept?

If you bought it second hand then there is definetly another map loaded into it as well as settings for another car.

i figured as much ignition and fuel harness are hooked up the boomslang plug consists of both. i was the reading the manual and said it's set to zero when it flashes orange while adjusting the rotary dials so i set them all back to zero and this thing ran like crap. although it did idle after some playing around. no matter how much i adjusted them i still got my check engine light around 3k rpms and at one time it was so rich i could smell gas. when i pulled it out and just ran the stock ecu she was smooth as hell again. i downloaded version 1.49 of the support tool but i don't have an original support tool disc and i can't get it to communicate with my computer. i'm also running vista. i really just want to wipe out whatever program might be in there for now so it can run properly

the support tool program on the site is the very same as on the disc except its updated, if it cant communicate with you computer you may have the wrong cable. a normal usb will not work.

it could be the cable actually this one came with the unit and it's not a standard usb cable but it still might not be the right one
