Hello all,

I'm looking for a copy of the emanage tool alpha (not the support tool).
I downloaded a copy of it from here:

http://www.msprotege.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=53214

But even with the .net frame work installed, I couldn't get it to run.

Any help?

thanks

Tony

I'm confused. MS Works? isn't that a word processor?

Yes, you need to open the file with a winzip program, your data log files are .csv files, framework and Microsoftworks supports .csv files

I'm trying to get the actual emanage tool to run. This is the application that allows you to tune via afr with a wideband hooked up to the MAF2 input on the EMB. It just won't run.

I know I'am using that program, all I can tell you is what I had to do to make it work, I used WinZip to open the "applacation file" and It worked for me , and then I could set up the RPM, A/F and Boost gauges, after I logged data using the yellow wire from the 2nd maf input read the data with Microsoft Works , I had no trouble , maybe you should reload the software from this site.

Can you send me what you have (the application and its supporting files)? You can send it to tony(at)fat-tonys(dot)net

Thanks

Hey guys, I've uploaded this stuff to our download section already. I've used it as well. The one with Alpha in the title does not open. You need the one with the file name "EmanageTools.zip". Check our downloads section.

Well, my reply was a tad late then. I was out trying to tune my piece so I couldn't get you that file sooner.

Thanks for the link. I can now run it on my PC. Now I have another problem. When I connect to the EMB with the emanage tool, it shows that I'm connected (it even shows me the version of the firmware that I'm using) , but it won't show me real time data. Right now, I only have the rpm hooked up, but it should at least show me that, right? The support tool works fine, but this doesn't. Any suggestions?

Have you set the TPS threashold to something low like 1 or 0? click gauges, then click start and watch her run.

I figured it out. It's working now. How do I get the logs?

Under "Monitor" in the tabs on the top, click on "Real Time Data". From there it'll pop up this(without the drawings of course):

http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/dzaster96799/Tuning/emanagetoolsdatalog.png

You click "Start" just before you run you want to record, then after the run click "Stop"--the Start button turns to Stop when it is recording/running.

Then you click "Save". It'll pop up a window of where to save to and you can rename the file.

It'll output in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet so you have to have it or the like.

Be sure you have the TP threshold set to where you want it. That will be when it starts recording.

Most importantly, be sure you have the EmanageTools set to take AFR reading from the right input wire.

Airflow Sensor 2 is if you are using the VTEC Solenoid wire--whic I am. Also, if you have a gauge, check to be sure you get the same readouts on the EmanageTools as the actual WBO2. I for some reason have different readouts. I have yet to figure that one out.

back with some good news.

Something I realized while trying to wire in the wideband into the Profec, was that the Innovate wideband's instructions mention the default output hi/lo values for AFR parameter is 7.35(lo) and 22.39(hi) within the voltage range of 0 to 5 volts. This is found in this portion of the Innovate software. Must select use air-fuel-ratio. In this image Lambda is selected so it doesn't show the AFR parameters.

http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/dzaster96799/Tuning/LC-1.png

So what this meant was that I had to set it up accordingly within the emanagetools software. See below.

http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/dzaster96799/Tuning/AFRVoltage.png

I only played with it for a short time and did one pull, but it seems that in the emanagetools it only rounds to the nearest 10th. So the AFR I was seeing in the emanagetoolsp was off just a hair, maybe 2-3 tenths from what was on the gauge--more lean on the software. I'm thinking if I go back into the Innovate software and change it to be that image above, all should be well.

Despite the small difference in AFR, it's way better than my past experience of 1 whole AFR or more leaner recorded with emanagetools. Therefore, now its a bit more useful piece of software to me.
